Brand

With a new studio under construction and a desire to evolve their positioning, PLA asked us to help shape the next chapter of their brand. The challenge was to reflect the maturity of the practice while strengthening its voice, both internally for the team and externally for the clients.

Working closely with PLA’s senior leadership team, we led a process to articulate their values, refine their narrative, and define a clear brand idea to guide future communication and design.

Over 25 years in practice, PLA (P Landscape) is one of Asia’s most respected landscape architecture studios. Based in Bangkok and working across Southeast Asia, its philosophy combines ecology, culture, wellbeing, and design.

The resulting narrative captured the essence of PLA’s work: thoughtful, enduring, and deeply connected to nature. We wove this into a comprehensive set of brand guidelines, covering tone of voice, visual language, and application, giving the studio a clear and consistent framework for growth.

PLA’s renewed brand strategy provided the team with a shared sense of purpose and clarity. It strengthened their internal culture, supported recruitment efforts, and gave them a confident external voice as they move into their new studio space and future projects.

Insight

Brand Therapy

It’s good to talk, but real insight begins with listening and knowing when to challenge.

A stakeholder workshop is essential for uncovering an organisation’s challenges, opportunities, and ambitions. It should leave everyone energised and raring to go. You could argue it’s a bit like brand therapy without the couch.

With P Landscape, we explored their past, present, and future to answer the first and most important question we always ask: why change?
